Oporto will hit Australian highways in 2007 as the fast food chain plans to open a further four drive-thru restaurants.
Jeff Fisher, chief executive officer at the fast food franchise, said the new drive-through Oporto stores will add an element of convenience for customers providing Oporto’s taste on the run.
When the first stand alone store opened in Casula in October 2006, the number of customers it serviced was more than double the number that had been expected. The food chain replicated this result when the Roselands store opened in March.
The
fast food franchise plans to open four additional drive-throughs by August this year with stores already tipped for a number of metro and regional locations. Oporto has 96 stores in Australia and has averaged 35 per cent store growth over the last three years. They believe the move into drive-throughs will strengthen the company’s growth and increase the number of franchise opportunities.
