Aussie
healthy food franchise SumoSalad and internationally acclaimed chef Peter Wright have joined forces to battle Australia’s expanding waistline by developing a new range of products for SumoSalad’s fifth birthday this year.
Wright, a multiple gold medal winning chef at the culinary Olympics in Germany, is bringing a new dynamic of worldwide experience to SumoSalad, having previously worked not only across Australia, but in Europe and Asia, in addition to being a catering consultant for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
New products soon to be available at the SumoSalad stores will include more healthy alternatives for the colder months such as a wider variety of warm salads,
sandwiches and soups, with all items continuing to be delicious, hearty and affordable.
According to Wright, changing Australia’s eating habits with SumoSalad may be his biggest challenge yet.
“Unfortunately as a nation Australians are addicted to fat and eating poorly,” says Wright. “However I’m confident about SumoSalad’s ability to create a better lifestyle and am looking forward to changing more consumer habits as well.”
SumoSalad salad franchise is delighted to have Wright on board. “It’s our way of celebrating five years of commitment to providing a personal lifestyle choice that is about living and eating well,” says Luke Baylis, Managing Director of SumoSalad. The celebrations for SumoSalad’s fifth birthday are only just beginning, so keep an eye out for more juicy information!
SumoSalad currently has over 60 outlets across Australia in addition to several stores in the UK and Dubai. This year also sees the introduction of SumoSalad into New Zealand and other overseas markets.
