Robin Meakins of Cleveland in Brisbane has just started operating the new franchise Amazing Clean On Site Curtain & Upholstery Care, a partner to the Amazing Clean Ultrasonic Blind Cleaning division.
Meakins, along with partner Peta, had recently sold their distribution business and were looking for a mobile business that they could grow.
“I went to the Brisbane Business Opportunity Expo in August 2004 and couldn’t help noticing Amazing Clean domestic cleaning franchise. I was instantly drawn to the distinctive van and wanted to find out all about the franchise,” Meakins says. “After a visit to the head office it didn’t take us long to recognise that this was a great company with a lot to offer, so we didn’t hesitate to take up an opportunity in Brisbane’s Bayside. What Peta and I particularly like is that we can network with the Blind Cleaning franchisees, which helps us all grow our businesses together.
“We see a future where we can add more vans to our fleet, eventually employing staff to do the work so that we can run and manage the business. We hope to buy additional territories in the future and run the whole enterprise from our home office.”
