Queensland-based Mr Rentals co-founder and director, Kerrianne Hickman, has been named the Franchise Council of Australia Queensland chapter's Franchise Woman of the Year.
Mrs Hickman was honoured in front of hundreds of guests on Friday evening at a ceremony held at the Brisbane Marriott to mark the prestigious annual event. The nationally recognised award, sponsored by PriceWaterhouseCoopers, acknowledges a nominee's professional success, personal and community achievements, leadership and future goals for their franchise operation.
Upon accepting the unexpected accolade, Mrs Hickman said her current success would not have been possible without the tremendous support and encouragement of her family and the inspirational Mr Rentals team.
"The award for me represents 13 years of dedicated team work aimed towards becoming the world's premier choice in home appliance rentals.
"While I don't believe I've personally achieved the extraordinary, I do believe that Mr Rentals will continue to surpass its goals and succeed long into the future" Mrs Hickman said.
Mrs Hickman's contribution to the continued rise in Mr Rental's financial turnover and staff, along with her charity and community work helped her secure the coveted prize.
"Donating financial assistance or my time to local sporting clubs, schools and charities is my way of giving back to those people who supported me," Mrs Hickman said.
With the wealth of knowledge Mrs Hickman has gained through her franchise, she wants to empower others with the Mr Rentals success story.
"I want to help people achieve their dreams and give them the encouragement and guidance to attain financial freedom.
"While the team and I are only at the start of our journey, if we apply ourselves with conviction to our goals, objectives and values our efforts will continue to be aptly `rewarded" Mrs Hickman said.
