Grill’d, the healthy burger franchise, has recently flipped its millionth burger. The chain was founded in Melbourne in 2004 by Simon Crowe, who wanted to offer a fresh and healthy alternative to the traditional burger.
“I think it’s (the milestone of the millionth burger) a testament to our recipe for great tasting, healthy burgers and an effective franchise model,” Crowe said. In three years of operation, the
fast food franchise has grown to comprise of seven stores operating around Victoria.
The millionth burger was sold at the Malvern store and since then, Grill’d has opened stores in Fitzroy and Richmond. The burger franchise also plans to take on the Queensland market when it opens a store there in May.
