Graham’s role as Project Manager gives him a lot of day-to-day contact with David Reid Home’s clients, subcontractors and suppliers. His hands-on experience across so many types of construction means that Graham is ideally placed to advise clients on product and materials selection. His long-standing relationship with our suppliers also means that Graham is able to negotiate the best possible prices on those materials and inclusions, with all the savings being passed directly onto the customer.

Q. We already have our own plans drawn. Can you give us a quote to build to those plans? A. Yes we can. We’ll provide you with a Fixed Price Quote on building to any existing house plan. But we’ll make a point of visiting your proposed home site with you and seeing how those plans relate to optimum usage of the block. Based on what we see, we’d probably make some suggestions as to how we could improve on certain areas of design, or find ways of better utilising the space you have or the orientation of your block.
Q. I don’t have the time, nor the experience to get involved with individual contractors for things like landscaping. Do you do it all?A. Yes we do. Most of the essential individual disciplines required in completing a home to our standards are handled inhouse. Most of our franchisees employ their own architects, designers and interior consultants, and each home has a dedicated Project Manager who drives the whole process. Landscaping, smart-wiring, internal finishes – whatever you’ve told us you want will be taken care of and included in our Fixed Price Quote.
Q. Do you have plans already drawn that we can build to? A. Yes, we do. Whilst we really specialise in designing specifically to your needs and to the block you’re building on, we have over 60 architecturally-designed plans here that are basically ready to go. However, we find that most of our customers really just use our established designs as a starting point – more as a source of inspiration to see what is possible, and our designers work with them from there to design a home which is, as we say ‘as unique as you are’.
