CHOOKS fresh & tasty franchisees Sue and Ray Bergersen will be supporting the Denmark Sea Rescue Group later this month by donating $1 to the non-profit organisation for every customer who enters their store and makes a purchase.
Sue said Denmark was a fairly small and tight-knit community and she was confident locals would get behind the day and support the Denmark Sea Rescue Group.
“On Monday, November 19 we will donate $1 to the Denmark Sea Rescue Group whenever someone comes into our store and makes a purchase,” she said.
“The group is run by volunteers who perform a great service for our community by rescuing those who run into trouble at sea, often risking their lives, and I hope Denmark locals will come into the store and support the cause.”
Denmark Sea Rescue Group President, Russell Carter said was honoured CHOOKS had decided to sponsor their organisation.
“As the local sea rescue group we have an important job of assisting the Denmark Police Service in searching for missing people or vessels, providing help to drifting vessels unable to make their own way back to harbour and assisting in the operations to remove grounded or submerged vessels,” he said.
“We appreciate the support of Denmark CHOOKS and encourage residents to visit the store, enjoy a great meal, and help raise funds on the day.”
