Number of Outlets: We operate nine restaurants; six of which are company owned and three are franchised. We have signed another three leases and by the end of 2007, we will operate an additional 15 restaurants. By the end of 2008, we will operate over 25 restaurants.

What are your franchise’s goals for 2007?
1) Each existing restaurant has a turnover (excl GST) of over $1million. We aim to achieve the same for each new business and to select only the best franchise partners who share our vision and values. Hence, our ROI currently sits at only 2-3 years, a very strong outcome.
2) Successful interstate expansion into Queensland and another state (which is a secret at this stage!).
3) Continued development and career progression for our
Grill’d family. Our team and culture is what drives our success. We want them to grow and expand their learnings as our business grows so that our culture is not diluted.
What are the significant achievements your franchise has celebrated in the last 6 months?
We have been accredited by the ANZ as a reputable franchise system whereby they are willing to finance franchise partners approved by Grill’d. As a brand with less than 10 restaurants, this is a huge compliment. They have investigated our books in detail and believe Grill’d to be a great expansion opportunity that operates a sound and profitable long term business model. Furthermore, we are celebrating the fact that numerous publications have recognised Grill’d as a growing and successful brand and that many high end franchise partners are now demanding an opportunity to join our expanding family.

What stands this franchise apart from its competitors?
Simply put our business model is unique and differentiated as we have created a legitimate brand, namely Grill’d. This is all encompassing from our product (of which we are very proud) to our people (prouder still), our store design, our systems, our training, our supplier partnerships and pricing, our site and franchise partner selection. What is the average revenue/profit your franchise owners are currently earning per annum? Each of our existing restaurants has a turnover of over $1million (excl GST). Our ROI is very strong at 2-3 years and hence the net profitability (inclusive of franchise owner salary) can exceed $200K per annum.
