
The
Party Plus franchise is a provider of party hire equipment in Australia. The
leisure and entertainment business provides a complete range of products and services that are necessary for a party. The
party hire franchise currently operates six stores in Western Australia that are fully flourished.
Party Plus commenced operations as a small home-based business in the year 1989, supplying balloons, party hire equipment and party ware to people in the suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. From a small time home based business of party hire, the company soon expanded and in less than six months, purchased one more party hire business.
The party hire business relocated to bigger premises and started supplying party hire equipment, napkins and balloons. The demand of the customer increased hence the existing business was up in sale in 1995 to fund a new concept. April 1996 saw the newly opened Joondalup showroom which started supplying a complete range of balloons and party ware to complete the party hire equipment.
The following year, Party Plus opened another outlet in Osborne Park, followed by a purchase of a run-down party hire business. The leisure and entertainment business took ownership of the first spot in the yellow pages and this proved to be a significant source of new customers. In 1999 the Osborne Park’s combined operations were sold subsequently to a private buyer.
After proving that a multiple site model worked, to study the pros and cons of franchising the business, a franchising consultant was engaged by the founders. The consultant showed the green signal in early 2000 and in July 2000 the franchise was launched. “Party Plus” the name and logo is the registered trademarks in Australia with the ultimate aim of being an Australia-wide franchise system.
