Good Sports Home Services - Background

Good Sports Home Services began from humble beginnings. In 2005 Shaun Mugavin started his own mowing business called Mugsy’s Mowing. After a year of hard work and difficult times throughout the drought and winter periods, he joined forces with his cousin Jonathan Brown, as well as a mate from football, Jacob Gough. Together, they added two extra services to the business; car washing (waterless) and home maintenance, which resulted in the formation of ‘Good Sports Home Services’ in late 2007.

Key Points of Difference with Good Sports Home Services:

Good Sports is Australia’s first 3-in-1 home services franchise incorporating car cleaning, gardening and home maintenance;
  • Independent operators only need 1/3 the amount of clients to have a successful business
  • There is reduced chance of boredom for franchisees due to the variation in jobs
  • The ability to have someone help run and grow the business each franchisee owns increases
  • Good Sports offers the same price (or less) as one service with other franchised businesses
  • One operator to perform a multitude of services to make it easier for the consumer

The basis behind the name ‘Good Sports’ is that the owners are passionate about putting back to the local level to help create future sporting champions like the ones supporting the business. Therefore, a percentage of each franchisees turnover goes to a local sporting club of their choice. We really are ‘Good Sports’!

Good Sports guarantees $1000/week from day one for each franchisee.

Key celebrity ambassadors support the home based business concept, the most notable being Jonathan Brown of the Brisbane Lions – however, the company plans to have one for each sport they associate with.
