Global Burgers, the franchised boutique burger bar, will open two more Queensland stores by June this year. The fast food franchise, which originated in Sydney, has recently opened a store on the Gold Coast, with plans to open franchises in Mooloolaba in April and Townsville in May.
Gary Blyton, managing director and franchisor of Global Burgers Queensland, said the franchise’s aim was to transform their healthy, gourmet recipes into a worldly range of burgers that would please even the toughest burger critic. “Unlike other burger chains, at Global Burgers our burgers are made fresh to order and every burger we sell can also be ordered as a salad so customers can skip the carbs if they want to,” Blyton said.
Established in 2002 by renowned Sydney chefs Mark Bayliss and Clayton Rose, the dynamic burger bar’s catchphrase, “Eat the World”, rings true through its menu of nine internationally-inspired burgers including Bangkok, New York and Morocco.
A unique aspect of the
fast food franchise in Queensland is that the franchises will be fully licensed, selling a range of local and imported beers and wines. “It’s more of an adult burger bar concept where you can have a drink and linger, without having to rush in and out,” Blyton said.
