ONE of West Australia’s most experienced
chicken chain operators will be showing Glengarry locals how it’s done after recently taking on management of the local
CHOOKS fresh & tasty franchise.
John Toh said he looked forward to the challenges ahead and was confident his experience in the chook trade would help him achieve much for the store.
“I have worked in
fast food stores where chicken has been the primary product for approximately the past 20 years,” he said.
“I migrated to Australia in 1988, a salesman by trade, and fell into the fast food chicken business. Now that I’ve been working in the industry for so long it’s just second nature and something I enjoy.
“My current role encompasses stock control, hiring of team members, delegating jobs and payroll, plus thinking of new ways to bring in extra business.
“I look forward to getting to know the local community, deliver top customer service and provide excellent quality chicken.”
Glengarry CHOOKS’ owner Brian Blake said he was happy about the choice he’d made to appoint John to the position of store manager.
“John knows a lot about the fast food field and I’m sure he we will enjoy many successes with him at the helm of my Glengarry store,” he said.
“I wanted to take a step back from the business and get back into my trade and I wanted someone that I could trust that would run the business like it was their own – John is that person.
“I’ve known him for the past eight years and I saw what a great manager he was when I worked as a contractor doing maintenance for another local fast food outlet he worked at.
“A few months down the track after I opened CHOOKS Glengarry I offered him a position knowing he’d be an asset to my business.
“John has great people skills, he’s conscientious and best of all – he knows the industry like the back of his hand so knows what he’s doing.”
Local barbecue and
fried chicken lovers can meet John and satisfy their tastebuds at Glengarry CHOOKS fresh & tasty store.
The store is open for business seven days a week.
