G J Gardner Homes has made some significant moves in the latest housing industry figures released on the 2nd of October this year.
“We believe it is a sign that we are a growing and significant company as we are moving forward in a tough economic climate, where other building companies have dropped back and even gone under recently’, Darren Wallis, CEO, said.
The figures, released annually by the Housing Industry of Australia in their report called ‘The Housing 100’, document Australia’s most active homebuilders for each year.
In the report, G.J. Gardner Homes building and utilities franchise rose significantly from position 24 to position 15 in the ‘Largest 20 Home Builders’ section of the report, which was the biggest jump of all building companies included in the report. They also ranked number four in the ‘Biggest Movers in 2007/2008’ which includes builders who increased their starts by 100 or more, with an impressive 23% increase in starts since the last report.
In regards to house starts, state by state, G.J. Gardner Homes real estate and property franchise ranked 7th overall in Queensland with 512 starts, 11th overall in New South Wales with 252 starts and 17th overall in Victoria with 189 starts.
“We are getting closer to where we want to be!” Mr Wallis said. “Our goal is to become the number one home builder in the area, state and country of operation, which will eventually take us to number one worldwide. It has been an enjoyable, challenging and rewarding journey so far, but we still have a lot to achieve. Each time these figures are released, it is great to see how well we are doing, but is a constant reminder of where we have to go also. We are just thankful that we have such great people around us to help us achieve that goal”.
G.J. Gardner Homes construction franchise began in 1983 on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, and was franchised in 1996. It now has over 90 offices across Australia, New Zealand, the United States and South Africa.
