Franchisees see the Signwave

Having already successfully been a franchisee, Paul Jones decided his next business venture would be to open a Signwave franchise. Opening his business services franchise in Campbellfield, Victoria after running a successful franchise in another sector, Paul decided to work with Signwave because of their great track record.

“The decision to buy a franchise was easy when you have the benefit of being part of a group of like minded owners,” he said. “With franchising you receive the benefit of formal and proven training and you get advice and ongoing assistance and franchising.”

Before becoming a franchisee, Paul worked with several major international corporations in senior management roles but he wanted to have more control over his working life and see the fruits of his hard labour. Paul’s sharp business acumen as a franchisee paid off and he couldn’t be happier with the results.

”We are a profitable business and we are enjoying the experience,” he said. “Our sales growth has been constant.”

Like any other business, a franchise is only as strong as it’s team. A strong team means a happy franchisee. Team members should be rewarded for hard work and the franchisee should make his or her staff feel valued.

“It is critical that you put a certain amount of trust in your staff and you shouldn’t be afraid to reward them well,” Paul said. “I have an excellent and loyal team. One of the most satisfying aspects of owning the Campbellfield franchise is being able to see my staff grow as a team.”

Ian and Joan Francis, from Blacktown in Sydney’s west, understand how good teamwork and make for a great franchise.

The husband and wife team decided to become franchisees together after John spent more than 20 years in a management role and Joan previously worked in the banking industry. Their combined experience became a winning mixture.

Ian achieved his goal of owning a business that maintained steady growth. He toyed with the idea of starting a brand new business, but decided his best option was the security of becoming a franchisee. Signwave’s ongoing training and development sealed the deal for him.

“We chose Signwave because they offered a lot more technical support than any other franchises we looked at,” he said.

Becoming Signwave franchisees was an incredibly rewarding experience for both of them.

“When you invest all your time and effort into a business and see great results at the end of the day, you get such a great feeling of satisfaction,” Ian said. “You just can’t beat it.”
