How old is the company and when did you start franchising? EmbroidMe retail franchise started its pilot store in 2000 and soon began franchising after the success of the first location.
How many franchises do you have? EmbroidMe has over 30 franchise locations in Australia and over 350 worldwide.
How are you going to grow the business in 2008?
EmbroidMe has always been very proactive in growing our
business services franchise family here in Australia. A large part of EmbroidMe’s growth comes from referrals from existing franchise owners.
Where do you expect the business to be in 2010? EmbroidMe embroidery franchise will continue its market leadership and expand its presence to all Australian states and territories.
What do you expect from a franchisee? Our franchisees come from a wide variety of backgrounds, but share an enthusiasm to own their own business, a dedication to customer service and a commitment to excellence.
What are the start-up costs for a franchisee and what working capital should they have?
About $240k plus $35k in working capital.
What is the length of agreement? Fifteen years
What sort of hours will the franchisee have to work to get the business established and how long should that take? The general hours of operation for EmbroidMe retail franchise are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5:00pm. Our owners generally arrive a little earlier and stay a bit later.
What profit can a franchisee reasonably expect to make after two years? Because our business focuses on custom products to business owners, there is terrific opportunity for high margins.
