The Bendigo Domino’s franchise gave away a brand new Toyota Yaris to one lucky Bendigo resident, as part of a recent competition that sparked widespread excitement.
Pizza franchise owner Kel Burke said the buzz around town in the lead up to the announcement was amazing.
“Thousands of Bendigo residents entered to win the brand new Toyota Yaris, and almost 500 of them turned up for the draw and celebration afterwards,” he said.
“The festivities on the day were a real hit, with sports stars, an outside broadcast from our local radio station and fun pizza-related activities for the whole family.”
More than 500 pizzas were sold on the day for a gold coin donation, with all proceeds going to the Otis Foundation – an organisation that provides breast cancer patients and their partners with the opportunity to relax and recover in a bushland retreat in the Mandurang Valley without charge.
Meanwhile, the Labrador fast food franchise on the Gold Coast has been taking pizza deliveries to the edge over the Easter period.
Team members dressed in bunny and Dommi Domino suits posed for photos with kids in the local shopping centre and on the street and then offered their parents a free print out of the photo, in a bid to attract new customers to the store.
“Their parents’ comments and positive attitude when the photos were taken and then when they collected the photos was priceless,” said Danny Nugent, Domino’s franchise store manager.
