
The Domino’s franchise opened its 8,000th store worldwide at the end of January with simultaneous celebrations at its 5,000th US store in Huntley, Illinois and at its 3,000th international outlet in Panama City in Central America.
In Huntley, Domino’s contributed $8,000 to the Huntley Police Officers Benevolent Association, and free pizza. In Panama City, 8,000 pizzas were donated to local charities and community groups.
Founded in 1960, the pizza franchise operates a network of franchised and company-owned stores in the United States and more than 50 countries. The fast food franchise has been given Megabrand status by Advertising Age magazine.
