Customers are demanding healthier fast food
options - and Spudbar is satisfying their calls. Spudbar specialises in
oven-baked potatoes with a choice of over 30 hot or cold toppings. But there is
more than just spuds with the menu offering fresh salads, seasonal soups and 96%
fat free yoghurt. Customers can select from one of the Spudbar favourites such
as the Dahl-i-Lama which is a spud with curried lentil dahl, mushrooms, tabouli,
carrot, wilted spinach, peas and natural dill yoghurt. Add to that the ability
for customers to build their own masterpiece to cater to their individual tastes
and you have a recipe for success.
Consumers are looking for food that is nutritious, yet tasty and value for
money. Spudbar is a healthy food franchise that ticks all those boxes. In fact,
potatoes are lower in calories and fat than pasta and rice. There’s no oil used
in the cooking or food preparation (except in our tabouli which is dressed with
quality olive oil), the potatoes are dry baked and the sour cream is light. Even
our lentil dahl and chilli beans have less than 3gm of fat per serve. It is not
often that you can get 5 serves of vegies in one fast food meal.
As the only branded spud franchise, Spudbar is a fun and quirky brand that has
enormous customer loyalty. Spudbar also cares deeply about the environment and
our impact on climate change. As a potato franchise with a focus on fresh
produce we feel very deeply about the earth. We are an evironmentally
responsible retailer, using energy efficiently, extensive recycling and off
setting of carbon emissions. We are very proud to be a carbon neutral.
A Spudbar store works well in a variety of locations whether it is high traffic
neighborhood, strip shops or food courts either in the city or the country. Our
footprint is small so rents are low. With no frying or grilling, our operation
is clean and startup costs are low.
For an investment of less than $250,000 our franchisees receive a turn key
operation that includes site selection, lease negotiation, shop fit out,
equipment, stock, an extensive three week training course, opening promotion and
operational support.
