ENTRY LEVEL
The Mortgage Choice franchise fee is $35,200 for a new franchise plus other
costs such as business equipment and insurances. Some working capital may be
required in year one. This will be discussed further with you during the
interview process.
PAYMENT STRUCTURE
Our commitment to transparency for our clients means we don’t play favourites
with lenders or loans - all commissions are paid to Mortgage Choice head office
and then distributed to franchisees and their loan consultants as upfront
commission for the loans they settle and trail commission on the ongoing value
of their loan book.
LENGTH OF AGREEMENT
5 years contract + option to extend for 5 years
SUPPORT AND TRAINING
The success of each franchise holder is paramount to the success of the Mortgage
Choice group as a whole. We aim to benefit franchisees by providing all the
tools necessary to make their business a success. Group and State Offices
support all franchisees via:
- Mentoring and Training: across all aspects of business, both during the
initial set-up phase and in an ongoing capacity.
- Marketing and Corporate Affairs: build and maintain a positive company profile
nationally and state wide while providing tools for franchisees to promote
locally.
- Field Support: regular business support via each state’s Field Marketing
Manager.
- Lending Support: product training, loan applications assistance and phone
coaching.
- Customer Service Centre: receives and distributes Group Office leads to
network.
- Information Technology: unique Mortgage Choice software matches customers with
the most appropriate products and lenders.
- Helpdesk: supports franchisees with equipment and software queries.
- Intranet: contains comprehensive information to help franchisee business
growth.

Recognising that Australia was becoming perhaps the world’s most complex housing
market, in 1992, two brothers decided to create a business to help consumers
negotiate the mortgage ‘minefield’.
Their aim was to build a national franchise network of ethical and professional
property loan advisors – mortgage brokers / loan consultants – who local
communities could trust to provide high quality service and who didn’t ‘play
favourites’.
Mortgage Choice is the result of this vision. The company strongly believes the
