For more than 30 years Midas has looked after Australian motorists and their
vehicles. And with more and more motorists turning away from the cost of
dealership service, this is a great time to jump into the driver’s seat and own
your own Midas service centre.
Midas is Australia's premier car care service provider and has built a national
reputation on trust, high quality specialist service and customer service
excellence.
It is part of a well-known international brand with over 2,500 service centres
across North America, Europe, Mexico, New Zealand and other countries around the
world.
With almost 90 shops throughout Australia, Midas is embarking on an
expansion program to open more service centres across the country. Opportunities
are available for franchisees to open new stores or purchase existing Midas
service centres.
Midas also offers existing mechanical workshop owners the opportunity to convert
their business to a Midas franchise and take advantage of the group's
international brand and local network services.
In 2008, Midas launched its LPG conversion program for selected locations in
response to customer concerns about the environment, rising petrol prices and
increasing industry demand to convert petrol and diesel vehicles to LPG fuel.
Customers can book their LPG conversion through the Midas national call centre
where staff will walk them through the options and book them directly into the
central booking system, for a conversion at a service centre most convenient to
the customer.
Franchisees within the Midas network will also benefit from the company’s
introduction of a new fleet service in late 2008 in which business fleet
owners and managers can have their fleet car care needs fulfilled at any Midas
automotive workshop nationally.
These new services are part of the company’s strategy to continue to grow the
business and make the brand the first choice for consumers in the market for
both their regular vehicle servicing needs and mechanical repairs.
A Midas franchise offers people the opportunity to own their own automotive
business but still have the backing of a well-known brand. Mechanical experience
is not essential in owning a franchise as qualified staff can be employed to do
all the mechanical work.
All Midas franchisees undergo extensive training which is designed to build on
