About Housework Heroes
Housework Heroes operates in the fast growing Home Services market offering a range of services to time poor or affluent customers.
In the main Housework Heroes Franchisees provide cleaning services to
residential homes and small commercial premises. We provide our clients with a
fixed price guaranteed service not an open ended hourly rate. This allows
franchisees to set their own prices and maximise their time and income whilst
providing their customers the peace of mind in knowing what they are getting for
their money.
Housework Heroes Franchisees purchase a franchise territory, which entitles them
to market their services within that area. The customer on completion of each
job pays the franchisee directly.
All Franchisees are fully trained prior to commencement and are supplied with
all necessary cleaning materials and equipment as part of the “Start Up”
package.
The Franchisor runs the central booking office where customers are encouraged to
telephone for quotes and to place their bookings. These details are then passed
on to the franchisee.
The Franchisor continually supports all franchisees with ongoing marketing,
training and technical advice.
What makes Housework Heroes different?
Good question! Some 80% of domestic cleaning is carried out by contractors
working through an agency on an hourly basis.
The frustration most clients find with this is that the cleaner, who they allow
access to their home (while in most cases they are not there) rarely stays for
very long.
Those companies that do provide franchised cleaning services have generally
moved into it from some other area such as carpet cleaning or mowing.
At Housework Heroes we specialise in Domestic Cleaning through Franchisees who
are in it for the long term. Where we use contractors it is generally for one
off jobs such as vacated cleans. We have developed fantastic tools to assist in
providing our clients with the best service at an affordable price. For the most
part we work on a package price so the client knows what they are getting for
their money and we offer a 100% guarantee on our work. As you can see from the
attached training schedule we provide our Franchisees with a step by step guide
to running their business – nothing is left to chance.
Maybe the most important difference of all is our culture. We believe that there
is room in any business or job to have fun and we encourage that wherever
possible. Our philosophy is ‘treat people as you would wish to be treated’ and
this applies to customers and franchisees alike.
Our Franchise Owners
For the majority of our franchise owners, this is their first venture into
self-employment. They recognise that “if they keep doing what they are doing
they will continue to receive what they are receiving”, and they want to improve
their personal and families quality of life.
A Housework Heroes franchise is not just a job – it is a business opportunity
for achieving success by working with a professional group that has the same
ambitions as themselves.
The common objective of all franchisees is to achieve personal independence,
which comes with self-employment. Achieving a quality of life that allows
individuals to determine the hours they work to suit their lifestyle. Many state
that their biggest disappointment is that they didn’t do it sooner. That doesn’t
mean that it was an easy decision.
It’s easy to make these claims and find examples of happy people in any
organization but we go one further and provide you with a full list of
franchisees so that you can ask them yourself.
Bob & Kim Larkman – Housework Heroes Franchisees of the Year & FCA State
Finalists
"In our late forty’s we sort job security and looked for a business to invest
in. Kim found an advertisement for a cleaning franchise that was affordable and
sounded promising. We had our huge list of questions answered with out any
hesitation and were given a list of existing franchisees to contact".
"That night Bob spent an hour on the phone to some very keen and happy 'Heroes'.
Our mind was made up, so we went along to our second interview with our cheque
book. That was over three years ago and we have not regretted our decision".
"We set goals for the first year:
1. First year turnover had to be equal to Bob’s income as an Aquatic Centre
Manager.
2. No more hours than Bob previously worked.
3. The business had to be self funding including the purchase of a vehicle and
repayment of purchase cost.
We achieved all of these without impacting on our lifestyle and soon found we
needed to employ people to assist with the overload. In just three years we have
grown to a work force of ten with a turnover that has grown 426% in the past two
years".
