About Donut King (Retail Food Group Australia)
Donut King is Australia's largest and most succesful donut chain. We offer the opportunity to buy a business supported by professional advisers and world-class facilities. With over 20 years experience and a refined product range (donuts, ice creams, hot dogs, and hot and cold beverages including freshly ground espresso) the company offers a complete system that other franchises only talk about.
Imagine being part of the Donut King family....
Donut King stores are operated under licence by Retail Food Group
(Australia) (RFG). RFG are franchise systems specialists and whilst you may not
know their name, you will probably know the retail food brands they manage in
Australia and New Zealand - Donut King, Brumby’s bakery’s, Michel’s Patisserie
and bb’s café.
Franchised in 1983, we have more than 308 outlets in Australia and worldwide.
Stores are located in shopping centres or similar high-traffic areas and suit
owner/operators.
Donut King - where attention to detail matters....
The training of franchisees and staff in the systems and operational standards
of Donut King stores is critical to ensuring we deliver the best quality food,
beverage and service to our customers.
Coming soon.....
All Donut King franchisees attend a state of the art National Training Academy
on the Gold Coast, in Australia before they enter their store.
Come back soon to take an interactive tour of the National Training Academy.
During this tour you'll get an idea as to the extreme levels of detail we go to
in training to ensure a consistent, high quality and fresh experience at each
and every Donut King store.

So what have Donut King franchisees got to say about their business?
"Donut King is one of well implemented rules and regulations...
We joined the Donut King franchise system in 1993 and commenced trading in
October that year. We enjoyed it so much we ending up purchasing a second Donut
King store in December 1993.
The training provided for franchisees is very comprehensive and allows
sufficient time to learn about all the facets required to operate a Donut King
outlet.
In the years since joining the Donut King System, the marketing of the brand has
evolved. It is great to see a very professional style of advertising and
marketing for our products and brand. We view this activity as laying the
foundations for the future.
The support provided by the personnel in national office at Retail Food Group
(Australia) and our support staff in the field augers well for the continued
support and rapport between office personnel and franchisees.
The actual mechanics of the franchise system for Donut King is one of well
implemented rules and regulations that work well for franchisees when they
adhere to the system. It is a system for all to use and share to get the optimum
results.
We thoroughly believe that the Donut King Franchise system is one of the better
franchises available in the market and highly recommend it."

"In the six years we have had our Donut King Franchise we have found that the
system is excellent. We would not put our name to this testimonial if we did not
believe in the system and its systems.
Our advice to new franchisees is to put their faith in a tried and true system
that has been improving in the 25 years since its inception.
If you do not have the confidence to do so then you should not purchase this
franchise. Donut King is a partnership, not only with RFG but with fellow
franchisees around the country and is indeed a team effort.
There will be times as with any partnership that you would feel it could be done
better, this is natural and you should discuss your doubts.
Our only complaint is that we didn’t buy a Donut King 15 years ago as we would
probably have 5 or 6 by now but at our stage in life ,one is certainly enough, a
hobby as well as an income"
