Busy Bookeeping Franchise looks at how a client
currently does their bookkeeping, decide what system best suits their future
needs and implement this system for them making allowance for any variations
required by their particular business or industry. Importantly, we are not tied
to the supply of any particular software package and are happy to install MYOB,
Quickbooks or any other system preferred by the client or their accountant.
We provide one-on one or small group training on most software computer systems.
While there are instruction manuals or general training courses available, we
find that there is no substitute for on the job training that is specific to an
industry or enterprise.

Busy Bookkeeping Franchise is a national franchise founded in Melbourne in 1998
and now extending throughout Australia, with some 61 franchises in operation.
The initial model was developed by a small accounting firm in Berwick, and then
was sold to Stockfords in January 2001. When Stockfords collapsed in February
2003, although Busy Bookkeeping Pty Ltd was profitable, it was also placed in
administration. In July 2003, franchisees from NSW and Victoria completed the
purchase of the franchisor, ensuring the on-going future of the business.
The majority of our franchisees are qualified accountants or experienced
bookkeepers, and many have grown from owning a job to owning a business,
employing employees and contractors. Whilst most start from their home office,
there are now numerous franchisees operating from dedicated offices in Victoria,
NSW and Queensland.
Busy Bookkeeping offers: Bookkeeping both on the client premises and 'take away'
in MYOB, Quickbooks and other accounting software. We can take the books through
to just pre-tax, depending on the clients requirements. Some assignments are
permanent, others are to cover staff leave or illness.
We do NOT offer tax and compliance accounting or financial planning.

Each franchisee has a unique and defined territory in which they can develop
their business.
We provide initial training in both the key software packages in common use, and
in the operation of the Busy Bookkeeping system. This is followed by a tailored
marketing and development programme, and the availability of on-going support
from experienced personnel. Franchisees are organised into cell groups which
facilitate the exchange of ideas and the provision of mutual assistance.
